Professional career:
- Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment since October 15, 2008: Setting up of a new strategy for the energy and water sectors for the medium end the long terms. Energy strategy focussed on the supply security, the generalization of energy access, regional integration and sustainable development.
- Managing Director of Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines “ONHYM” since November 11, 2003: Setting up of a new organization concept focussed on project management process in the frame of a new strategy implementing a synergy between mining and hydrocarbon exploration poles.
- Appointed on August 20, 2000 by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Managing Director of the Office National de Recherches et d'Exploitations Pétrolières (ONAREP): Setting up of a new petroleum strategy which allowed attracting several international oil companies. Nearly 30 oil companies are presently active in oil exploration throughout the Kingdom. Achievement of BRPM and ONAREP merger and creation of ONHYM.
- Appointed on January 19, 2000 by His Majesty King Mohammed VI as member of the Experts Committee in charge of the Investments Promotion.
- Managing Director of Bureau de Recherches et de Participations Minières (BRPM) since April 29, 1998.
- Appointed by late King His Majesty Hassan II as Secretary of State in charge of the Mining Sector Development (1997-1998): Setting up of a new strategy for the mining sector development and elaboration of a restructing plan for the CDM coal mine.
- Director of Mines in the Energy and Mines Ministry (1994-1997)
- Head of BRPM's Holdings Division (1990-1994): reorganization of the portfolio of holdings.
- Head of Mining Studies in BRPM's Mining Projects and Studies Division (1984-1990).

- Promotional trips in several countries of South East Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand).
- Head of the Moroccan delegation to the mining investments in Africa Symposiums organised by MIGA (World Bank Group) in Montreal and Denver (1996 and 1997).
- Management training at Columbia University (New York). Road Show in London and Houston for the promotion of oil exploration in Morocco.
- Participation in various international events and conferences as the 4th Global Forum in Marrakech, 12th Global women summit in Seoul, Oil and gas summits, euro-Mediterranean energy forums, etc…).
