Ahmed Réda Chami is born on 16 may 1961 in Casablanca. He is holding a high diploma of engineer of arts and manufactures from the Central School (Ecole Centrale) of Paris (1985) and a Master of Business Administration from the John E Anderson Graduate School of Management in 1989 with UCLA (Los Angeles, USA).
Since July 2005, Mr Chami is the general manager of the Saham Group, responsible for the Head quarter services and is in charge of the Group’s development projects and the operational supervision of subsidiaries, in particular the Essaada Insurance Company, Mondial Assistance and the group’s companies specialized in information technology.

General Manager Microsoft North West Africa, in Morocco between 1997 and 2001.

He is vice-president of the NGO Zakoura, vice-president of Morocco 2020 think tank, and vice-president of ‘’les Bonnes Oeuvres du Coeur’’ Charity .
October 15, 2007, he was appointed Minister for Industry Trade New Technology under the present Government of Prime Minister Abbas El Fassi.
Mr. Chami is married and father of 4.
