Biggest ever MEA Annual Lunch highlights importance of MENA region for British business

The Middle East Association’s Annual Lunch held on 17 March at the Dorchester Hotel, London, highlighted the importance of the MENA region for British business, and the key role played by the Association, in partnership with UK Trade & Investment, in promoting British trade and investment with the region. A record 433 members and guests, including the Arab Ambassadors and many other VIPS, attended the event, which was sponsored by Europe Arab Bank. Keynote speaker and Guest of Honour was Sir Andrew Cahn, Chief Executive of UK Trade & Investment.

Moroccan – British collaboration in archeological heritage

In the framework of the reinstatement’s program of the archeological sites, and the with the support of the Embassy, the Moroccan British Society, the Moroccan Ministry of Culture, the Institute of Archaeology at Oxford University and “Institut National des Sciences de l’Archéologie et du Patrimoine de Rabat”, will be achieving the following activities:
-Visit to Taforalt Site “Grottes des pigeons” from the 20th of March to 21st of April 2010.

Round Table on Women’s Political and Economic Representation 09/02/2010 The Embassy took part on Tuesday 9th February 2010, at The Foreign and Commonwealth Office a round table discussion of Women’s Ambassadors and senior female Embassy staff held within the framework of the creation of a single, powerful women’s agency, a “Gender Entity” within the United Nations.

London 27/01/10- Morocco's ambassador to Britain, Chrifa Joumala Alaoui Lalla, offered Tuesday night in London a reception in honor of Moroccan journalists based in the British capital..

Speaking on the occasion Chrifa Joumala Alaoui Lalla welcomed the integration of these journalists in British society and their success in an area she described as "pivotal".

Morrocan Films Special Focus on Ahmed El Maanouni 27/11/2009 This Year the London African Film Festival puts the spotlight on films from the Maghreb. Four Morrocan films are presented at Ciné lumière at the Institut français, with a special focus on award-winning Moroccan director Ahmed El Maanouni.
