CEO of HIGHTECH PAYMENT SYSTEMS (HPS)
President of CGEM, the General Confederation of Employers in Morocco (June 2009-June 2011)

 

Born on December 8, 1953
Married and father of 3 children

Professional Career:
Engineer graduated from the National Institute of Statistics and Applied Economy, Rabat. (1974). Founder (1995), Chairman and CEO of HPS (Hightech Payment Systems) 
2003 : Opening of HPS Dubai in Dubai Internet City
                          2006 : HPS IPO into Casablanca Stock Exchange
                          2008 : Opening of HPS Europe in Paris

Works:
Mr Horani is the architect of PowerCARD, multi-channel payment software, developed by HPS and used by more than 300 banks in 51 countries in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, North of America and Asia.

Awards:

  1. Trophy for Innovative Enterprises by the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organisation) in 2006
  2. Recipient for the MENA-OECD Investor of the Year Award (2006)

Associations:
Mr Horani is the President of CGEM, the General Confederation of Employers in Morocco (June 2009-June 2011)

And also belongs to many associations as:
-  resigning President of Apebi, the Moroccan Federation of Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Offshoring (january 2008 – june 2009)
-  President of the Morocco Export Leaders Club (MELClub) that includes the Moroccan companies that have won the exportation trophy organised by the National Council  for Foreign trade (2004-2009).
- Vice President of IMRI (Moroccan Institute for International Relations)
-  Member of the think tank team working on defining a new identity of Casablanca.

  2. Member of the advisory committee in charge of the «Citibank & PlaNet Finance Morocco Microentreprenorship Awards» program (from 2006)
  3. Member of the eMaroc reflexion group  under the the supervision of the Moroccan Ministry of Industry, Trade and NTIC
  4. Member of a Strategy Group created by the CESEM research center to think about problematics of Moroccan economy and management
  5. President of Rotary Club Casablanca Nord

Mr Horani is among the pioneers into the payment industry and HPS become within 10 years part of the Top 10 payment solution vendors.
