The mythical group created in the years 70, in full years of lead, in the popular neighborhood locals of Hay El Mohammadi was able to find the rhythms and the right words. In agreement with the ancestral customs of Ghiwanes who conferred the right to of known personalities to their wisdom for trumpeting the horrors of the daily in different douars of the country, through singing, poetry and the theatrical game, the Nass El Ghiwane are quickly imposed as the defenders of the oppressed and misunderstood. The founders of the group, namely, Larbi and Batma Bojemaa Boujemii said, quickly joined by Sayed Omar, Allal Yaala Abderhmane and Paco, all from the working classes, had a value in common human dignity. Between texts steeped in mysticism and lyrics activists denouncing corruption, oppression and humiliation and a musical style rehabilitating instruments and melodies of Moroccan heritage as melhoun or folk songs, the spirit "ghiwani" quickly became widespread. The scenes around the world have welcomed the group and some scholars go so far demonstrate the influence of the birth of Ghiwanes Rai in Oran.
After several attacks and threats of disruption and loss of three members of the group is still alive today. In addition to his two veteran Omar Sayed and Allal Yaala a worthy future is assured with the micro Batma Rachid Hamid Batma feel at Chifa abdelkrim in banjo. Consecration of this renaissance: a full house in the legendary Parisian venue L'Olympia in May 2007 where the audience chanted in the heart of the titles who have withstood time and fads.
