HM King Mohammed VI launched, on Monday at the Kariat Oulad Moussa neighborhood in Salé, foodstuffs operation "Ramadan 1435", initiated by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan
This action, organized by the support of the Ministries of Interior and of Islamic Affairs, shows the unwavering royal solicitude for the underprivileged. Worth 60 million dirhams, the operation is meant to assist widows, old people and special needs people. It will benefit nearly 2.37 million individuals in 473,900 households, including 403,000 in the rural area, across the Kingdom.
The operation is monitored by a local committee and a provincial one which are tasked with supervising the supply of distribution centers, identifying beneficiaries and distributing foodstuffs.
On the same occasion, HM the King laid, in the same neighborhood, the foundation stone of a Youth Training and Integration Center to be carried out by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity for an amount of 6 million dirhams.
Meant to develop young people's competences, the facility (1,075 square meters) will ensure the blossoming and socialization of young people through cultural and social activities which encourage them to assume more responsibility, namely in the field of associations, and get a training that would ensure a better integration in the job market.
The facility, which will comprise a drop-in and guidance center for youth, training workshops, classrooms and a library/multimedia library, will be managed by a network of associations in partnership with the Office for vocational training and labor promotion which will provide pedagogical supervision.
