HM the King Inaugurates 7.4 Million-Dirham Sports Facility in Casablanca

HM King Mohammed VI inaugurated, on Thursday in the prefecture of Ben M'sik in Casablanca, a multi-purpose sports facility (7.4 million dirhams).

   Built on a plot of 1.4 ha, this facility will strengthen sports infrastructure in the prefecture, improve sport conditions and sports activities, and promote social integration and the emergence of elite athletes.

   A partnership between the National Initiative for Human Development (French acronym INDH), the Casablanca-Settat region, the prefectural council of Casablanca, the sports facility, with accessibility facilities for the disabled, includes a football pitch with artificial turf, two basketball courts, a space dedicated to petanque, a training track, bleachers with a capacity of 350 seats and dressing rooms for players and referees.

   This INDH project is part of the actions taken by HM the King in the Casablanca-Settat region aimed at improving the living conditions of the local population, strengthening basic services and infrastructure, and promoting integrated, balanced and inclusive development of the metropolis.

   On this occasion, HM King Mohammed VI posed for souvenir photos with teams and members of clubs and local sports associations which benefit from this project.
